Meditation for Humility
What is humility? When you hear this word and learn the ancient virtue of humility, you can say it is not generally a pleasing one. It’s from the word humus or earth, it’s being low of one’s importance which is the opposite of our current world where we promote self importance. But it has been said that humility has nothing to do with being meek or weak. Humility is a manner of sacred modesty that comes from accepting our place in the larger order of things. It requires not taking our desires, victories, or failings too badly.
Humble individuals are able to offer kindness to each and everyone they could encounter. They have this because they see and accept their own vigor and boundaries without having the feeling of being judged. This kind of acceptance comes out from the foundation of one’s worth in our essential value as a human rather than those images that we imagine and fantasize. Knowing that there is no perfect here in our world but taking it in a more positive way and that doesn’t ruin one’s self esteem, working on our limits by having an open arms for new ideas, suggestions or criticisms.
So if you want to improve your self- worth, self awareness and humility, why not try a meditation practice. Any person can practice meditation. It’s straightforward and low-cost, and it doesn’t need any extraordinary tools. You can practice it even in the comfort of your own house. If your daily busy life makes you stressed, and that makes you anxious, tense and worried, think about meditation. Spending even a few minutes in meditation can restore your calm and inner peace.
Meditation has been with us for thousands of years already; it was meant to deepen our understanding of the sacred and mystical forces of life. And in this modern world, we can now use it as a way of relieving stress and being able to relax whatever situation we may have. Meditation is well thought of as mind-body balancing medicine.
All through meditation, you focus your attention and get rid of the flow of chaotic thoughts that may be hosting your mind and resulting to stress. This meditation process will help in enhancing physical and emotional well-being.
