What is self love? Self love is about giving value to yourself as a human being who is worthy of being loved and respected. Sometimes, self love if taken to extreme might lead to narcissism, but you have to know that these two are very much different from each other.
Self love is a way of loving yourself without comparing yourself to others and to make any downward comments just to make yourself higher than the others. It is acknowledging your own achievements and appreciating yourself, while narcissism is comparing them and obsessing on making themselves better than the others.
You definitely know that it is important to love yourself, to forgive yourself from every wrong decision you made and reward yourself from every accomplishment you achieved. But do you exactly know how vital it is? But is it really that vital? Can’t you get along just well without that entire sweet self-love thing? The truth is, you can just still be fine if you’re not minding such self love, but I tell you once your learn the meditation for self love, it feels like you are born again into a more beautiful life, a more meaningful and more colorful life. Life will never be the same again once you start loving yourself; you tend to give back love without getting worried of not loving back or worried about being neglected.
In order to develop self love easily just practice meditation. It doesn’t require anything, just your determination and your willingness to embrace the practice.
